Follow-up calls shouldn't cost money
After a broadcast, members often need a private follow-up: negotiate pricing, confirm fitment, arrange delivery. Calling the member's cell or landline costs money and pulls them off the hotline. Direct calls keep the conversation on-network. Free and fast.
How It Works
- Request an extension. Members pick any 3-digit number (100-999) from the member directory in their dashboard. The extension gets assigned right away.
- Dial *NNN from the hotline. From the desk phone, dial star plus the 3-digit extension (e.g., *247). From the web app, tap the "Call" button next to any member's name.
- Private connection. Both parties get pulled out of the conference room into a private call. The conversation is recorded and both members return to the room when the call ends.
- Missed call notifications. If the callee doesn't answer within 15 seconds, they get a push notification with the caller's name and extension. One tap to call back.
Key Benefits
- Zero cost. Direct calls travel over the internet, not the phone network. No per-minute charges, no long-distance fees.
- Searchable member directory. A full directory of every member on the network, searchable by company name, city, phone number, or extension.
- Call recording. Every direct call is recorded automatically. Handy for dispute resolution, training, and quality checks.
- Push notification on miss. Miss a direct call? You get a push notification with the caller's details. One tap to call back.
Real-world: closing a deal privately
A yard hears a broadcast requesting a 2018 F-150 transfer case. They have one, but they want to negotiate price privately. They check the member directory, see the broadcaster is "Valley Auto Recyclers / ext. 315" and dial *315. A private call connects in 2 seconds. They agree on $450 with free delivery, hang up, and both return to the conference room automatically.
